Michelle has excelled at the highest collegiate level as a player, competed with 2 olympians and as a professional over seas.  She has coached volleyball at camps for Texas A&M, UCLA, Santa Clara and UCSB and has been both assistant coach at Occidental College in 2005 and Head Coach in 2006.

With coaching experience up through the collegiate level, and Division I and professional playing experience, Michelle adds even more depth to the technical background at Elite.  Carly Romberg

Cell: 818-281-1845

Carly will be in her second season with Elite and brings a wealth of knowledge along with her. Growing up with a Father who was a tennis pro and coach, starting volleyball at the age of 5, and culminating her years of hard work with a full scholarship at the Division I level, Carly is a true student of the game. She was a two sport athlete at Grandview High School in Aurora, Colorado and qualified for the state tennis tournament all four years (2002-2005), but her passion was always volleyball. Her senior year she led Grandview volleyball to a 30-1 overall record, 7-0 conference mark and first-ever Colorado 5A State Championship. She was State’s All Tournament Team and was the 5A Colorado leader in aces per game.

Carly committed to a full ride scholarship to the University of North Carolina Charlotte.  She was named to the Atlantic 10 all-Rookie team as a freshman after posting a team-high 453 digs, fifth all-time in 49ers history.  The following year she led Charlotte in digs, posting 460 the fifth-most in team history, passing her own 2005 mark. Her junior year Carly earned Atlantic 10 Libero of the Year and shattered the school record with 533 digs and was nationally ranked as 18th best in the NCAA. She also broke Charlotte’s record for most digs in a match with 36 on “Dig for the Cure” night. Her senior year Carly earned Atlantic 10 Libero of the Year again, as well as Second Team All-Conference and All-Academic Team. She broke own school record  with 571 more digs, finishing with a school-record career total of 2,017, only 14 other players in NCAA history have reached that plateau since the rally scoring rules came into effect in the 2001 season. She was again nationally ranked in the top 20 most digs in the NCAA.
